Plain Cloth Aisle Runners

Many brides have inquired about purchasing our cloth runners. Due to the number of requests you may now purchase our cloth runners. Many brides want the runner to reuse the for a friends wedding, or as a donation to the church, or would simply love to see their future children walk down the same aisle. Whatever your reasons for purchasing a runner, we now make it available.

Artistic Floral Design has worked with many types of runners. It is with concern for the perfect appearance and safety we strongly recommend avoiding paper and plastic runners. In our expert opinion, cloth runners are the only good choice. Cloth runners are not as easily torn, are not as prone to being slippery when wet, and do not have the tendance to static cling to people and clothes as other types of runners. There are other reasons to use cloth, and if you like we can discuss this with you. Your wedding deserves the best.

Special! Purchase any of our ~ 36" cloth runners and receive a FREE metal puller bar...a $50.00 value! (shipping is not included in this offer).

60" Hot Pink Diva

Color...a personal reflection of you, it can create an "wow" impact down your aisle. This photo is from Bakersfield, CA shows a 60" Hot Pink Diva runner with hot pink sun parasols and petals. Wide runners are recommended for all outside ceremonies.  Unique colored runners can really make your aisle a showcase for your descent down the aisle.

Please note: Every attempt is made to standardize color shades, however, it is technically impossible to guarantee identical color matches throughout the season or from year to year. Some dye lot variation may occur.

  • The fabric is wide and can create a great background for petal decorations
  • For some painted designs the extra width is a must for certain artwork designs
  • The guests see the aisle vision and the comments are non stop
  • The fabric is wide and fills in unsightly carpet or tile
  • For outdoor wedding the width is a must for wind

Please Note: The color of the runners pictured may not be perfect due many factors including the lighting and/or sun affects when the photo was taken. In addition, individual computer monitors tend to vary slightly in color reproduction. Fabric swatches cut from the material currently being used may be sent to you. Swatches will allow you a much truer representation of the runner color than you get with the photos by giving you the exact color of the lot currently in stock, however colors vary slightly from lot to lot and your runner color may vary slightly even from the swatch.

All 60" runners must be pre-laid before the ceremony. They are too heavy and wide for the ushers to handle. With this look the aisle must closed off at the back with ribbon across. This prevents guests from walking on the cloth before the ceremony and all guests are seated from side aisles. If you can not have side aisles, these wide runners should not be used for your wedding. You will want to consider a 36" wide runner (see price box #1).

Our Fabric Quality

Our standard aisle runner fabric is made from the fabric used many years ago when disposable runners were not available. Our runners are the traditional choice from weddings of generations past. It is our thickest, heaviest and most durable fabric. It's also the best choice if you are doing customized effects such as hand painting, artwork and lettering. Make your wedding the most remembered event, ordering a one of a kind painted aisle runner from one of our artist.

Ordering a Plain Cloth Runner....123

All orders are placed over the telephone. We accept Visa and Master-Card. You can email us your order and we will contact you via telephone for details and credit card information.

Colors displayed will vary depending on your computer monitor.

Please note: while every attempt is made to standardize color shades, it is technically impossible to guarantee identical color matches throughout the season or from year to year. Dye lot variation does occur. To ensure our fabric is what you've envisioned, contact us by Email or phone to obtain FREE swatches of the fabric.

Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery of White and Natural . Designer colors allow 1 to 3 months for delivery. Rush orders may be possible. Contact us for details on rush orders.

Some of our new designer colored runners only come in a ~ 60" width. These colored runners must be custom surged on both edges to become ~ 36" runners. Please allow extra time for this customization to be performed.

Runner Widths

All runners are a consistent width the entire length. Due to the surging process used to size a runner, the size will actually vary from runner to runner. The width stated for our runners is approximate. A 36" runner is actually somewhere between 35" to 36"

The awesome effect of our 60" runner is so wide and filling of the aisle, it is often one of the topics of guests comments. Everyone who views it loves the unique look and the beauty it brings to the aisle. This width is the best choice for outdoor weddings and pre-laid runners (where you close off aisle, seat guests from the side aisles and only the bridal party walks on your runner). A 60" runner's actual width will be between 55" and 60"

Please call or email us if you need the exact width of the runners we have in stock. Custom sized runners will be surged as close to your requested width as possible. Please be sure to inform us if the exact width of your runner is critical.

Choosing a Runner Width

If you want to have the runner pulled down the aisle after your guests are seated, we strongly recommend our ~ 36" runner. This is our thickest, most durable fabric and is narrow enough that it can be pulled at the appropriate time without much difficulty.

For a more formal look or for an outside wedding, our ~60" runners are a good choice. Wider runners are much more stable in windy environments as the edges can be taped (double sided tape under the fabric) or chairs may be placed on the edges. As wider runners are more difficult to pull, they should be pulled prior to guest arrival. To prevent markings on the runner, the aisle should be closed to guest traffic. This is easily accomplished by placing ribbons across the aisle entrance. Guests would be seated using the side aisles, and the ribbons removed when it is time for the wedding procession.

If you are having any difficulty deciding on the appropriate width for your ceremony, please call our design consultants. We will be more than happy to discuss in detail the advantages and disadvantages of each style, and if you desire, we will mail you fabric swatches of the styles of your interest.
